  3. Evaluating a social media platform, app, or tech product that you know. (pp.79-80) (pp.159-160)
  4. Present on a fascinating animal skill or trait that is amazing and unusual, such as migration. (pp.99-100)

Debates (Course final)
Thursday 20 June / Friday 21 June

  • Students will be put into teams.
  • A topic will be given for two teams to debate.
  • Preparation time will be given.
  • One student from each team will speak to the class.
  • Students will speak in rounds (Pro, Opp, Pro, Opp…)
  • Each student will speak for about 2 minutes.
  • The audience will vote for the winning team.
  • Students are assessed individually.

Debate topics
​Each team will have one topic - Pro or Opp


  1.   South Korea should implement a 4-day work week
  2.   Every child should attend university
  3.   North and South Korea should unite
  4.   Social media should be banned for young people
  5.   The school and university semester should start in September
