1. Prepare a short speaking activity to demonstrate or share in small groups. **this is not assessed The speaking activity does not need a lot of scaffolding. It can be for any age group or level. Any materials can be used. Think carefully about your instructions. Be prepared to do your activity in class. 2. Watch TESOL Concepts: EIF (ECRIF) framework for teaching speaking on my Youtube channel. Be ready to summarize the framework in dicussions next week.

Start thinking and planning a speaking lesson plan. The lesson should have at least one speaking activity. Consider target language, warm up steps + scaffolding. Low level students: follow EIF with scaffolding steps. High level students: consider TBLT + authentic. Bring your ideas for discussion in class. Homework (November 10)
Prepare a basic outline of a speaking lesson plan. See lesson form below. Schedule November 10 - lesson plan first draft November 17 - lesson plan deadline November 24 - final teaching demonstrations December 1 - final teaching demonstrations December 8 - final teaching demonstrations December 15 (extra week if needed)
