Student field of expertise
On this course, you are going to choose a field of educational technology that you are interested in.
You will have the opportunity to research this field and present based on your findings in Week 9 (TBC). Your presentation can include content such as definition, pros/cons, issues, challenges, research findings, tools, techniques, and so on.
Here are some examples of fields:
  • Blended learning
  • Video-based learning
  • VR/AR/metaverse
  • Gamification
  • Automated assessment (AI)
  • Blockchain technology
  • LMS (learning management systems)
  • Mobile learning (apps)
  • … your ideas
You may choose something more specific like “metaverse apps for young learners”
For Week 6, make a list of potential topics for your presentation.

Homework for April 16
In the next few weeks, you should start researching the topic for your field of expertise.

Find at least one article or research paper on your topic. The article/paper should contain useful and relevant information on your topic, such as guidelines, examples, case studies, tools, techniques, and so on. Be prepared to explain and summarize the content of the article next week.
