Homework due Week 3 (September 17)
1. Download the worksheet below. Try to match the 10 definitions of language at the top with the 10 examples of focus of language teaching at the bottom. ![]()
2. Read Chapter 1 (below) and answer the questions on the first page. Your answers are for discussion in Week 3.

Homework due Week 8 (October 22)
Prepare a grammar activity Bring a grammar activity to demonstrate to the class. The grammar activity can be to practice use or to focus on form. Choose a grammar point and create the activity + materials to match the grammar point. The activity can be for any age group. The materials can be: word cards, worksheet, board game, etc. Note: This is not whole lesson, just one activity. Homework due Week 9 (October 29)
1. Read the introduction for “Teaching Grammar Creatively” (first file below) and complete the questions on the cover sheet.
2. Take a look at the book on my below. Each unit (1.1, 1.2, 1.3 …) has a different grammar point. Choose 1-2 units from any chapter that you may like to prepare a lesson for. Print those specific units (or you can view on your phone or laptop) and bring them next week. ![]()

Week 10 - Suggested Videos
Schedule for the final section of the course:
Week 10: Discussion of the final assignment and agreement of grammar points for each student. Week 11: Feedback session. Bring your lesson plan drafts and computers (if you want to work during class) for feedback in class. Week 12: Deadline. Submit your lesson plans and materials. Week 13: Lesson plans returned and make a schedule for the final micro-teaching. Week 14 & 15: Final micro-teaching of your lesson plans. Grammar lesson checklist:
