Week 3 reading assignment (due 19 March)
The reading is about arguments for teaching grammar and arguments against teaching grammar. 
​Read the chapter below and be ready to discuss it in class. Highlight sections and take notes as you read. Choose topics from the reading to discuss.

Choose one argument for and one against and write a paragraph for each on the HUFS discussion board. Explain why you agree or disagree with this argument, or why you think it is important. Include your opinions and experiences.

Homework: Micro-Teaching Lesson Instructions
Beginner-level teachers, prepare a short (about 15 minutes) micro-teaching lesson following a structured approach. Your lesson should include:
  • Warm-up – Engage students and introduce the topic (inductively).
  • Context Setting – Provide a clear and relevant context for the lesson.
  • Examples & Language Practice – Demonstrate key language points with examples.
  • Student-Centered Grammar Activities – Incorporate interactive practice where learners actively use the language.
  • Prepare all materials
  • Beginner level (any age students)
  • 10-15 minutes lesson
This session may be recorded for self-evaluation and feedback.
