Week 4- Reading and discussion homework
Due September 23 Read "Chapter 2: Challenging Conceptions of Grammar” (file below). There are 12 assertions about grammar that the author challenges. Choose 2 of the assertions and write about a paragraph for each about why you agree and/or disagree with the author. Include any examples or experiences you have had that support your opinions. You can also discuss how this will affect your future teaching. Share your 2 paragraphs on the HUFS e-class discussion board.

1. Read the introduction for “Teaching Grammar Creatively” below and complete the questions on the cover sheet. 2. Take a look at the complete book below Each unit (1.1, 1.2, 1.3 …) has a different grammar point. Choose 1-2 units from any chapter that you may like to prepare a lesson for. Next week we will confirm who is going to do each unit and start preparing for the final presentations.
