Assessment (Lesson Plan + Materials 1 & 2) + Practicum info

During Materials course, participants will create two lesson plans and materials. These are EIF lesson plan and PDP lesson plan. These are due in Week 11 (EIF) and Week 16 (PDP). Participants will use these lesson plans and materials for the practicum micro-teaching in week 17 (EIF) and 18 (PDP). The practicum is the final assessment for the whole course. We will discuss this during the course and I will help you to prepare for the practicum.

There is a page linked below with lots of resources and files about this assignment.

Homework tip for this week:
Think of an English class, language academy or school that you are familiar with.
What kind of students are in the class? Age, level, interests, motivation, goals...
What kind of content is taught in the class? Materials, examples, language skills, textbooks, etc.
What kind of teaching content would you choose for these students? How would you match their needs?
What kind of materials, tasks and activities would be suitable for these learners?
How could you arrange the syllabus and your teaching strategies to be effective?
